For cultivation of E. coli and M13 bacteriophages in molecular biology.16 g/l Tryptone10 g/l Yeast extract5 g/l NaCl15 g AgarFor making 1 L 2x liquid medium suspend 46 g in 900 ml distilled water, adjust the pH to 7.0 with approximately 0.2 ml of 5 N NaOH, fill up to a final volume of 1 L with deionized water and sterilize by autoclaving. Cool to 45 °C prior to dispensing into sterile petri dishes.
