Differs from other aminoglycoside derivatives in that it is bacteriostatic instead of bactericidal.Stock solution: 10 mg/ml in distilled water, sterile filtered.For molecular biology applications standard working concentration is 100 µg/ml and in cell culture 7.5 – 20 mg/l.
