SiR-Maleimide 1mg (CY-SC011)

SiR-maleimide is the 2-maleimidoethyl derivative of the fluorophore silicon rhodamine (SiR)1) . Sir-maleimide reacts with thiols to form a covalent conjugate. Small molecules, peptides, oligonucleotides or proteins bearing the appropriate thiol can be conjugated to SiR-maleimide. The key features of SiR-maleimide are i) far-red absorption and emission wavelengths, ii) high extinction coefficient, iii) high photostability, iv) compatibility with superresolution microscopy (STED & SIM).
