SiR-BCN (CY-SC017)

SiR-BCN is a bicyclo[6.1.0]nonyne (BCN) derivative of the fluorophore silicon rhodamine (SiR)1) . Sir-BCN reacts with tetrazine and azide derivatives to form a covalent linkage. Small molecules, peptides, oligo-nucleotides or proteins bearing the appropriate tetrazine or azide can be conjugated to SiR-BCN. The key features of SiR-BCN are i) far-red absorption and emission wavelengths, ii) high extinction coefficient, iii) high photostability, iv) compatibility with superresolution microscopy (STED & SIM).
