Human Programmed Death 1 (PD-1) is a receptor located on the surface of various cell types including T-cells, B-cells, and some myeloid cells 1 . PD-1 interacts with its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2, to effectively suppress T-cell activation and the production of cytokines.
