Recombinant Human NGF R

Nerve growth factor receptor (NGFR), also known as the low-affinity receptor p75NTR is a transmembrane glycoprotein without intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity, whose expression is not restricted to neural cells. NGFR is reported to act as a tumour suppressor, negatively regulating cell growth and proliferation.¹ It is also involved in several diverse functions such as apoptosis, neurite outgrowth during development, and myelination.² p75NGFR contributes to delayed neuronal death (DND) after ischemia by an apoptotic mechanism.³
