LUTOX Green, green fluorescent nucleic acid (LP16410)

LUTOX® Green is a green-fluorescent nucleic acid stain used as a nuclear and chromosome counterstain. The dye is impermeant to live cells with compromised plasma membranes, making it a good indicator of dead cells. LUTOX Green exhibits more than 500-fold fluorescence enhancement upon binding nucleic acids with an emission peak of 523 nm. The high brightness of the signal allows the use of LUTOX Green to determine the viability of both eukaryotic and bacterial (Gram-positive and Gram-negative) cells by flow cytometers, fluorometers, fluorescence microscopes, or microplate readers. We offer LUTOX Green as a 5 mM solution in DMSO and a ready-to-use staining solution for flow cytometry.
