Description
Transcription factor c-Rel is a member of the Rel/NFkappaB family which also includes Rel-A, Rel-B, NFkappaB1, and NFkappaB2. These proteins are related through a highly conserved N-terminal region referred to as the “Rel domain†which is responsible for DNA binding, dimerization, nuclear localization, and binding to the NFkappaB inhibitor.
