Angiopoietins 3 (Ang-3) is a secretory protein1 and a ligands of Tie-2 receptor tyrosine kinase.2 Ang3 is most abundant in adrenal gland, placenta, thyroid gland, heart and small intestine.1 It inhibits endothelial cell proliferation and survival and blocks Ang-1.2
