Description
The antibody induces a defect which is essentially identical to Glanzmann's thrombasthenia. It also inhibits platelet aggregation by ADP, sodium arachidonate, collagen, and thrombin.1 Anti-CD41 may be useful in identification of platelets and megakaryocytes or in studies of hemorrhagic diseases associated with gp IIb/IIIa deficiency.
