Anti-Canine Parvovirus [Clone CP3H6] (18938-200ug)

Canine parvovirus (CPV, “parvo”) is a virus that mainly affects dogs and is believed to have originated from a mutation of feline panleukopenia virus into CPV2. CPV infection is highly contagious and is spread by direct or indirect contact with feces of infected dogs. Signs of infection include lethargy, vomiting, fever, and diarrhea. Because the intestinal lining becomes compromised, blood and protein leak into the intestines, leading to anemia and loss of protein, and endotoxins reach the bloodstream, causing endotoxemia. Vaccines can prevent infection, but mortality can reach 91% in untreated cases. Canine parvovirus may infect other mammals including foxes, wolves, cats, and skunks, but no cases of CPV infection of humans have been reported.
