Alexa Fluor 488 - FluoroNanogold streptavidin (7216-GRP)

This unique streptavidin probe contains both the 1.4 nm Nanogold® particle and Alexa Fluor®, both covalently bound, and enables both fluorescence and electron microscopic observation of a sample stained using a single labeling procedure. This probe is smaller than a whole IgG molecule, does not aggregate, and fluorescence quenching due to the gold particle is low. Alexa Fluor® has been found to have significant advantages over fluorescein or rhodamine: it is brighter and quenches less readily.
