AffiPure™ Normal Rabbit IgG, Whole Molecule (R1366-10mg)

Normal Rabbit IgG Ultra, Whole Molecule was purified using protein A chromatography from normal serum. IgG is produced and secreted by plasma B cells, and constitutes the majority of serum immunoglobulins with normal levels between 8-17 mg/mL in adult blood. The whole IgG molecule contains both the F(c) region and the F(ab) region. IgG antibodies mediate immunological responses to allergy and pathogenic infections by binding to viruses, bacteria, or fungi and facilitating their destruction by activation of the compliment cascade, immobilizing them via agglutination, or opsinization for phagocytosis. Purity: Based on immunoelectrophoresis at an antigen concentration of 20 mg/ml, pattern of precipitation. This product contains a sufficient quantity of endogenous IgG to block nonspecific binding sites on fixed samples and assay substrates. While most commonly used in flow cytometry this product is useful in other applications such as ELISA, IHC, ICC, Blocking and as a control.
