Enzyme Inhibitors for Glycolipids

Matreya offers inhibitors that will stop the enzymatic metabolism of glycolipids at various points in their biosynthetic routes. PDMP and PPMP are well known inhibitors of glucosylceramide synthase and both active and inactive isomers are available for comparison studies. Safingol is an important inhibitor of protein kinase C which controls the function of proteins through phosphorylation. Acid and alkaline ceramidase inhibitors, including NOE and D-MAPP, prevent the metabolism of ceramide to sphingosine.
